En 1992, Amancio Fernández Gómez a commencé à étudier l’œnologie à l’École de viticulture et d’œnologie de Requena, terminant ses études plus tard avec un diplôme de troisième cycle en viticulture à l’Université de Valladolid. Ses premières élaborations l’amènent à la Ribera de Duero pour revenir plus tard à Bierzo, faisant partie d’une génération de jeunes vignerons qui placent le Bierzo au niveau international. Depuis 2005, il fait partie de Losada Vinos de Finca.
